Our Mission

Hope for Hearts is dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and assisting in funding research for children and families affected by congenital heart defects and transplants. Through compassion and advocacy, we strive to ensure that every heart has a chance to thrive, and no one faces cardiac challenges alone. We honor the resilience of those with heart conditions and their families. We are dedicated to educating families about early diagnosis, providing support for the whole family, and fostering lasting hope for healthier hearts.

Why Hope for Hearts?

Hannah was our little warrior, born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and facing unimaginable challenges from the moment she took her first breath. From her first open heart surgery to many procedures to multiple ECMO runs, she fought with strength and resilience. After two major heart surgeries and a transplant wait of 172 days, she learned to walk, talk, and share precious moments with her big sister. Just days after her transplant, her new heart struggled and Hannah passed away at just 22 months old.

She is the reason and the drive behind our mission to support families facing similar battles. We honor her memory by providing the comfort and resources we wish we had during her journey. Hannah’s story is one of strength, hope, and the love that continues to guide us.
